Great things happen when people have a long-term orientation and are motivated to look to the future - this is especially true for wine. And so more than 90 winegrowers from Vulkanland Steiermark are not only capable of producing visionary quality wine, but also bring an excellent wine feeling to southeastern Styria with their extraordinary winegrowing families. A hotspot in terms of wine is thus visible for curious, interested and pleasure-oriented wine lovers!
The charm of an entire wine region in one magazine
Already for the 4th time the association Winzer Vulkanland Steiermark, under chairman Christoph Neumeister, publishes a tourist magazine, in which the wine and the wine-growing enterprises of the wine-growing region Vulkanland Steiermark take the main role. The 4th issue was presented in the Gesamtsteirische Vinothek in St. Anna a. A. by Christoph Neumeister (chairman) and Bianca Lamprecht (project management) presented. This time, the magazine has a special theme: the DAC system of origin introduced with the 2018 vintage, making the Vulkanland Steiermark wine region an official DAC area as of 2019. The magazine takes its readers on a journey across the wine-growing region of Vulkanland Steiermark: the nine wine villages of Eastern Styria, Riegersburg, Bad Gleichenberg, Kapfenstein, St. Anna, Klöch, Tieschen, Straden and St. Peter are presented with their wine-specific features and tourist destinations. Thus, the magazine not only tells of site-specific features about wine, terroir and the new origin system, but also provides information about sights, points of interest, hiking tours and culinary hot spots in the wine towns. The magazine is thus intended to be of added value not only for wine lovers, but also for guests from and in the region as a tourist guide from the east to the south (and vice versa) of the winegrowing region. Hence the motto on the cover: "Winemakers invite you to discover, enjoy and arrive in the wine-growing region of Vulkanland Steiermark". A novelty and at the same time a special feature of the 4th run: For the sake of sustainability, annual numbers and event tips were left out in order to make the magazine usable for several years - an "expiration date" was deliberately dispensed with, so to speak.
Pleasing: The overview map of the association's vintners grows with each issue. Thus, the association Winzer Vulkanland Steiermark now has over 90 members.
