I am a Murtaler - Taro vom Wieserhof

This week we introduce you to a cuddly, very friendly Murtaler. Taro lives at the Wieserhof, where he always delights visitors with his cheerful nature.

Alpaca Taro tells us about himself:

I was the first alpaca at the Wieserhof. There are now 22 of us. I have to be honest, I'm a bit of a boss on the farm. On the guided alpaca hikes, I'm always at the front and show the others the way. Of course, the youngsters like to come and try to overtake me and I'm happy to let them. You have to let the youngsters do something once in a while. But in principle I'm always in front again, they don't know their way around as well as I do. 

I really enjoy it here at the Wieserhof in St Peter. Have you ever seen the view from here, you can only relax. Did you know that the Wieserhof is a certified time-out farm? It's a wonderful place to relax and find yourself. At the Wieserhof you can even attend yoga classes or various creative courses with painting, spinning and felting. Here, the mobile phone really is a minor matter and the guests are fully immersed in my little world.

When I walk through the green, fragrant nature, the children and adults always get really big eyes. They suddenly hear the birds chirping, the bees buzzing, see the wonderful variety of plants and simply enjoy the glorious rays of sunshine. I really like it when visitors realise that it doesn't take much to be happy. You just have to pay a little attention to your surroundings.’
