It is cosy in our restaurants, where the landlord and landlady still lend a hand and sometimes sit down with the guests to ask where they come from.

Our inns and guesthouses are mostly family-run, so it can happen that the landlady is in the kitchen, the landlord is at the tap and the son is serving and taking orders. You'll feel right at home here. There are also regulars' tables where you can "schnapps" (play cards) or discuss the latest news in the village. The inns are still the meeting place for the locals, where people eat together from christenings to funeral receptions. Traditional, regional specialities are often still served here and the food is freshly cooked using local produce. And the really important thing - the people are the centre of attention here!

If you are in our region, you absolutely must try our very special specialities and perhaps take them home with you. The region offers extraordinary products that can only be found here in this form.

Whether Murtal Styrian cheese, Kühbrein cider, Seckau gingerbread, Murtal pumpkin seed oil, Thalheim beers and juices or numerous Swiss stone pine products (from Swiss stone pine schnapps to Zirup). The Murtal promises very special culinary delicacies.

Here you will find a selection of our specialities and where you can get them. However, you can also find most of the products in our restaurants. They use local produce and can therefore offer typical regional dishes of a particularly high quality on their menus.
