A sporty and enjoyable start to the day in Zeltweg! On the forest nature trail in Zeltweg, we stroll through the beautiful natural surroundings, lost in thought. The first rays of sunshine peek through the leaves and the gentle twittering of birds accompanies us on our way. The babbling of the Mur awakens our spirits. This is the perfect start to an eventful day. Information boards along the way tell us about the forest inhabitants and the great diversity of fauna that can be found here.

Now it's time for relaxation. An extensive arboretum has been created around the water tower in Zeltweg. We are amazed that over 600 trees, some of them exotic, thrive here and savour the impressions of the calming nature. The sun is shining from the sky and we take the opportunity to relax in the garden of the Café Wasserturm. Refreshing drinks and tasty snacks spoil visitors here. The neighbouring playground invites children to let off steam.

Zeltweg is home to an airport of the Austrian Armed Forces. Here you will also find the Military Aviation Museum. More than 25 military aircraft are exhibited here over an area of 5000 square metres. During a guided tour, we learn more about the exciting history of the Austrian Armed Forces and are even allowed to take a seat in an aircraft. In addition to the aircraft, technical equipment, radar equipment, uniforms, models and anti-aircraft guns provide information about the complex past.

Eventtip: Airpower

We fancy a refreshment and visit Thalheimer Heilwasser. In addition to sparkling and still water, we find fizzy lemonades, fine coffee and refreshing beer. We also discover the reason why we Styrians are always in such an outrageously good mood.

The Thalheim water is extracted from a millennia-old spring that contains the natural mood booster lithium. Sit down, savour, enjoy and be cheerful is the motto here!
