From the historic town center of Bad Waltersdorf, you can walk directly into the Thermal Park, home to the public healing thermal spa. A quick right turn brings you to the first pleasure stop: the family-run Buschenschank Der Pieber – a true insider tip for local Styrian delicacies.
Right after, you'll reach the Weinhof Buschenschank Thaler, where you'll not only find Styrian culinary delights but also the sound of local music. Well-fortified, the path continues uphill through a shady forest. The short but demanding climb is well worth the effort: Maluhof impresses with homemade products and a breathtaking panoramic view over Bad Waltersdorf.
The route then continues over the "Sauberg" to the Janisch Farm Shop, where visitors gain an authentic insight into rural life – farming to experience and understand.
After two more adventure stops, you’ll arrive at the Thaller Dairy Farm, where everything revolves around high-quality dairy products – fresh, regional, and made with care. Definitely worth a tasting!
Just a few minutes' walk away, the village inn Seiler-Ziegler in Leitersdorf invites you for a cozy break. The path now leads gently downhill, and a rest in the shaded garden under old trees is almost a must.
Before the next gentle climb, consider a short stop at the Fiedler Farm Shop to stock up your snack bag with regional treats. Then it’s up to the Bergstadl Wine Tavern. Sitting on the panoramic terrace here offers an unforgettable view over the Thermal and Volcano region – a perfect spot to pause and marvel.
After another kilometer, you’ll pass the Heschl Fruit Farm, offering fresh fruit, juices, and fine specialties from their own production – a real moment of enjoyment in the heart of nature.
Right afterward, you’ll reach the small motor skills park at the Hotel-Inn-Restaurant Teuschler-Mogg, not far from the blowpipe and archery course – a highlight for young and old alike.
Then comes the final stretch: passing the scenic 18-hole golf course and the golf restaurant Das Willis, the distinctive church tower of Bad Waltersdorf comes back into view. And with a bit of luck, you might even spot colorful hot air balloons drifting above the town center.
To round off the tour, a visit to the Thermal Spa Farmers’ Market is highly recommended – perfect for picking up culinary souvenirs to take home. The circular route finally ends back at the Kurpark.
