The year of foundation of the church is unknown, it is known that the Gothic building was destroyed by the Hungarians in 1418. Every year, from May to October, a pilgrimage is held on every 13th day of the month.

In 2010 the organ was renovated. The bell of the church is also very old - it dates back to 1586. The interior of the church is mainly from the late baroque period.
