About the region
The municipality of Pirching am Traubenberg consists of the four cadastral communities of Edelstauden, Frannach, Pirching and Rettenbach. The municipality is located on the northwestern edge of southeastern Styria - at the beginning of the Stiefing Valley - and has about 2,600 inhabitants. Pirching am Traubenberg is the gateway to the Styrian capital Graz, as the distance is only 25 kilometers. In recent years, the community has established itself as an ideal residence for families with children.
Pirching am Traubenberg is very rural. Here there are very many fruit and vegetable farmers who market their products directly on their farms. Those who don't want to cook for themselves can enjoy themselves in the excellent inns of southeastern Styria. An insider tip is the Landrestaurant Fink in Edelstauden. Especially the venison weeks attract gourmets from near and far. For sporting activity afterwards: the municipality of Pirching am Traubenberg lies along the "Grabenland Trail".
