Via motorway A9 (exits Gratkorn-Süd or Gratkorn-Nord)

Via the S35 coming from the north, take the exit Peggau–Deutschfeistritz and follow the federal road B 67 to Gratkorn.

Starting out from the church square, follow trail no. 8 (Höllgraben–Jasen–Höchwirt) along Dr.-Karl-Renner-Strasse westbound until you hit the forest road, which you leave at the first right-hand turn-off (Am Bichl). From here, follow trail no. 8 with its richly varied stretches till Ferstlhöhe and turn right (eastwards, hiking paths 6 and 8). Wander through the town of Jasen to the Höchwirt inn. After a refreshment break, return to Gratkorn, keeping to trail no. 8a (Weissegg–St. Stefan/Gratkorn) till the road sign for Gratkorn, follow Raiffeisenweg southwards, turn right (westwards) and arrive back at the starting point (church square).
The tropical exhibition at the Teibinger flower farm in Gratkorn is a must-see.
Hikers can easily arrive without a car by using bus or train services. The frequent S1 trains between Graz and Bruck/Mur make reaching OberGraz easy.

Don’t miss the original Styrian tart from the Handl confectionery! Created from typical Styrian ingredients such as pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil, apple preserves and freshly grated apples, stone-pine schnapps and walnuts, it is richly packed with treats for the palate.
