

Arrival in Eastern Styria
Eastern Styria is located north of Graz and quickly accessible from the north, south and east via the A2 motorway, and from the west via the S6 and S35. Many of our overnight accommodation providers offer pick-up from Vienna and Graz. (Enquire directly with the operation in question)
Travelling by car
- Arriving from Munich: To reach Eastern Styria, take the A8 to Salzburg, continue on the A1, take the A9 to Graz and the A2 to Gleisdorf. (Munich-Gleisdorf: approx. 452 km)
- Arriving from Berlin: To reach Eastern Styria, take the A13 towards Chemnitz/Dresden, continue on the A17 towards Prague, route 8 towards Brno, A5 towards Vienna and A2 towards Pinggau. (Berlin-Pinggau/Friedberg: approx. 784 km)
- Arriving from Zurich: To reach Eastern Styria, take route 7 towards Bregenz, continue on the A96 towards Munich, take the A8 to Salzburg, continue on the A1, A9 to Graz and take the A2 to Gleisdorf. (Zurich-Gleisdorf: approx. 759 km)
Please note! A road tax disc must be applied to the vehicle’s windshield to travel on motorways in Austria. This self-adhesive road tax disc is available at service stations and at the border crossings!
Travelling by bus
There are several direct connections to Eastern Styria from Graz/Vienna daily.
Many of our accommodation providers offer pick-up from bus stations in Eastern Styria (enquire directly with the operation in question). Otherwise, the SAM shared taxi takes you from the bus stop to your accommodations.
