There is so much nature in Eastern Styria that the region is blessed with two nature parks. The Almenland Nature Park and the Pöllauer Tal Nature Park invite you to marvel, pause and experience.
The Nature Park Pöllau Valley counts as one of the most beautiful Nature Parks in Austria. It sits right at the green heart of Eastern Styria and encompasses the two Nature Park districts Pöllau and Pöllauberg. Out of the seven Nature Parks in Styria two are located in Eastern Styria – the Nature Park Pöllau Valley and the Nature Park Almenland.
From its highest point, the Rabenwald at an altitude of 1280 meters, to ist lowest point in the south at an altitude of 345 meters, the Nature Park covers in all its glory a total of 124 km². In this rural idyll between soft hills and the protected, unique meadow orchards you find a beautiful landscape which has a lot to offer all year round. Hikers and nature enthusiats can look forward to 180 km of well-maintained hiking routes. The Nature Park Pöllau Valley uniquely combines diverse natural beauty, interesting history and culinary delights.
