Spring bike tour in ApfelLand , Puch bei Weiz

Open
Every spring, millions of delicate pink blossoms adorn the fruit trees of the apple village, lending the beautiful landscape an extraordinary charm.
A truly fragrant and fruity road winds for 25 km from hill to hill through the idyllic landscape of Eastern Styria, connecting the orchards with inns and direct marketers.

"A journey to paradise..." is how the well-known local poet Peter Rossegger described his trip to Puch in his days.

Cycle routes from family-friendly to sporty lead you through the blossoming landscape. Five adventure stations and the five audio enjoyment loungers invite you to take a varied break.

Numerous farms await you along the tour, selling produce from the farm. Countless "farm-to-table self-service stands" also invite you to taste and buy products from Austria's garden.

Start: Puch/Municipal office

The starting point is the apple village of Puch near Weiz, the "heart" of the Styrian Apple Route. We pass the Puch parish church heading north until we reach the crossroads.

Continue on the main road to the Gössl fruit warehouse - then turn left towards Harl and you will reach the "House of Apples".

A rest stop is in order here - homemade apple strudel and a delicious apple juice will fortify us for the onward journey. We continue until we reach the crossroads at the main road and cross it uphill to the left, turning right after approx. 100 m.Continue to Külml Castle. The castle has been beautifully restored, but is privately owned and unfortunately cannot be visited. However, you can admire its splendor from the outside. The cycle path leads us through a forest to the Töchterlehof. From here we cycle along the Feistritztal cycle path (R8) to Anger. From the main square in Anger, we can either take the same route back to the Töchterlehof, or we can take the Birkfelderstraße to Oberfeistritz and return to the Töchterlehof. Now we follow the R8 alongside the Feistritz again until we reach Lebing. We are still on the R8, after the Bauer sawmill we turn right onto the WZ 16 and take it back to Puch to the starting point.

We recommend:
