Külml round, Anger - Puch

The tour in the apple country connects the villages of Anger and Puch, passes Külml Castle and uses the Feistritztal cycle path for the way back - beautiful in all seasons!
From the Feistritz Valley to the center of the apple country - or from Anger to Puch. The namesake of this tour is the baroque castle Külml, which lies in a gentle hollow halfway. The castle has been renovated in an exemplary manner, is privately owned and unfortunately cannot be visited. However, a view of the imposing grounds is always possible. The small church of St. Ulrich is located a little above Külml and is worth the detour (best on foot). The "House of the Apple" in Puch is a living museum with a meadow orchard, bee garden and fruit press. Along the Feistritz river, through the Feistritz viaduct and past the "Töchterlehof" stud farm, you can cycle comfortably back to Anger.

The leisurely tour is easily passable with normal bicycles, even though the Feistritztalradweg is not asphalted.

The castle is beautifully restored, but is privately owned and unfortunately cannot be visited. We continue along the WZ12, circling the castle, so to speak, and have a nice view of the castle grounds from the side.At the intersection with the state road, we drive briefly down to the left and then immediately up to the right in the direction of "Puch".In Harl we pass the "Haus des Apfels" on the right and turn right at the crossing with the fruit farm Gössl up to Puch.At the wayside shrine we take the cycle path to Puch on the right and change here to the WZ16/Apfeltour.At the Steiermark store we meet the main road again and have only a few meters into the center of Puch = entrance in Puch. For the way back we take the WZ16 again, keep right at the chapel and go down to the edge of the forest. There we turn right into the bike path and ride the paved path to the Feistritz. Now we leave the WZ16 and go left out the R8/Feistritztalradweg in the direction of Anger. After the sports ground Floing we cross the road and cycle a short distance uphill to the left. Before the GH Stixpeter we turn right and continue straight ahead along the R8.Under the Feistritztalbahn viaduct and past the Töchterlehof stud farm we continue along the R8 to the center of Anger.

The mare's milk & Friesian stud farm "Töchterlehof" is easy to spot by the largest wooden horse in the world, it invites you to take a tour and there is also a farm store.
