The Hauereck refuge is located in St. Kathrein am Hauenstein at the Hauereck lifts about 100 meters from the mountain station.

Family-run since 1992, the refuge was newly built at that time and is now operated by two tenants. The hut is easily accessible, whether by bike, on foot or by car. Arrived at the hut you can enjoy the typischne "Hüttenschmankerl" in peace. There is also the possibility to stay overnight in the hut.
