The birthplace of Peter Rosegger provides an insight into the simple rural life of his childhood.

At 1,150 m above sea level, surrounded by green meadows and forests, lies the Kluppeneggerhof, the birthplace of Peter Rosegger. The "forest farmer's boy" spent the first 17 years of his life here. The people in the area, his own experiences and those of his family inspired him to write stories and poems, which he began to record at a young age.
