The pilgrimage church Maria Fieberbründl is known far beyond the Styrian borders. The Fieberbründl is said to have special healing powers! Even if the history of Maria Fieberbründl only dates back to 1879, the place is one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in Styria. Embedded in the hill country of Eastern Styria, Maria Fieberbründl is rather closed - consists of the trees that grew with the small pilgrimage church. Since the first Holy Mass in 1881, the influx of parties has increased 60,000 pilgrims per year. The legend is about: A hermit builds a wooden hut for himself in this forest solitude, in which he also has a statue of the Virgin Mary. Because of his piety, he has great trust. Many came to him for rats, prayed in front of the statue of Mary and drank from the little fountain that was next to it dental floss. After his death, the wooden hut was converted into a small chapel. Since the water was specially treated against febrile diseases, it is called Fieberbründl.
