Fruit and mining between Feistritz and Rabenwald The beautiful rural community of Floing encompasses the sunny side of the Rabenwald.
At the very top, the Talstein mine, where the softest stone in the world is mined, overlooks the valley, and at the very bottom, the Feistritz meanders through the district called Unterfeistritz.
In between are the pretty village of Lebing and many orchards that use the warm slopes to grow high-quality pome and berry fruit. The streams feed small ponds, where the trout farmer breeds his fish, which he processes into delicate dishes.
But the farm brewery also uses its own grain and refines it into "Haringer Gold", which can be tasted on the farm during the farm tour, but also taken home. Numerous field monuments, such as the "Eckzeiler-Kreuz" or the "Stixn-Kreuz" are landmarks and monuments of faith.
Frescoes by Peter Stübinger show religious and secular motifs, such as the "Strafgericht von Burg Neuhaus", which decorates the old parlor in the Gasthof Stixpeter. Hiking trails between Anger, Lebing and the Kreilkogel connect the culinary highlights of Floing.
