As part of the LEADER project “Kunst.Hot.Spots” in the Weiz-Gleisdorf energy region, horseshoe sculptures were erected in the member communities between 2018 and 2020.
Sascha Exenberger (Almart) from St. Kathrein am Offenegg is the artist who created the figures together with the communities. For Hofstätten/Raab Sascha Exenberger made a squirrel made of horseshoes - the heraldic animal of the community. The squirrel's tail alone weighs an impressive 200 kilograms. By placing the sculpture at the entrance to the community center, the entrance is visually enhanced in an impressive way.
The culture is accessible and can be visited all year round.
