As part of the LEADER project “Kunst.Hot.Spots” in the Weiz-Gleisdorf energy region, horseshoe sculptures were erected in the member communities between 2018 and 2020.
Sascha Exenberger (Almart) from St. Kathrein am Offenegg is the artist who created the figures together with the communities. The panther is the heraldic animal of Styria, which holds its protective paw over a red apple and welcomes guests at the beginning of the Styrian Apple Route. At the end of 2020, the horseshoe sculpture landed in Albersdorf-Prebuch with an impressive weight of 400 kg.
The culture is accessible and can be visited all year round.
