As part of the "long shopping night" on Friday, November 28 (Black Friday), participating businesses in the center of Weiz will offer many great promotions until 9 PM, making the shopping for Christmas gifts in Weiz a delight. A festive supporting program creates a Christmas atmosphere and makes shopping a pleasure. With the ceremonial opening at 6 PM at Südtiroler Platz, the Christmas lights will be turned on, making many (children's) eyes shine.
On the opening day and every Advent Saturday, the Christkindlmarkt takes place in the beautiful light of the Christmas decorations in the area of the Kunsthaus-Passage, Rathausgasse, Bismarckgasse, K&K-Passage, and at the Südtiroler Platz. In a festive atmosphere, a diverse range of arts and crafts, high-quality goods, and delicious treats are offered. The Weizer clubs and charitable organizations also cater to their members, friends, and visitors in the traditional hut village and throughout the market area.
Additionally, throughout Advent, there is a special children's fairy tale forest with the Story Tree to explore in the Kunsthaus-Passage. Moreover, one can stroll through the city in the enchanting light of the Christmas decorations and admire life-sized wooden snowmen along the streets as well as the atmospheric nativity scene in the main square. There is also a very beautiful wooden nativity scene in the Garden of Generations. At the photo point in the K&K-Passage, visitors can capture their experience at the Weizer Christkindlmarkt on Saturdays between 10 AM and 4 PM. Of course, a carriage ride through the festively decorated city center is one of the absolute highlights of a visit to the Weizer Christkindlmarkt.
