Info about Andreas Schlintl:
My name is Andreas Alexander Schlintl and I live with my family in Gleisdorf. As a professional musician, I have been on stages all over the country in various band formations since 2008. Since 2016, I have been running the Austropop duo 2kW with Gernot Resch, which also produces original songs. As a young person, I played theater, and from that moment on, I was captivated by the fascination of cabaret. Now I am excited to bring my first program to the stage myself.
How the Cabaret Came to Be
Andreas discovered his love for cabaret in his youth. Back in the late 90s, people like Alfred Dorfer and Josef Hader inspired him. He took his first steps and gained initial stage experiences in the youth theater of Europajugend. With the play "The Master Boxer," where Andreas played the lead role, he even went on a tour in Germany.
At some point, music developed into a major hobby, and in 2008, he took the step to become a professional musician. However, thoughts about his own cabaret program kept coming back. It wasn't until the completion of the book "On the Way to Myself" by Schlintl and the consideration of how and in what context it should be presented that the decision for cabaret was made. This was further supported by friend and best man Harald. The first cabaret program, which bears the same name as the book, tells stories from life and the "ME" that everyone carries within them. "As children, we have big dreams and wishes; however, these are often shattered by our surroundings and school, so that as adults, we can hardly remember them." Andreas packages partly his own stories, such as that of a blockage as an apprentice plumber or the sensitive topic of vacuuming in relationships, into relatable stories. When the laughter muscles need a break, the guitar is picked up, and it is musically pointed out that we are becoming more and more a number.
