Aznavour has put well over 1000 such cinema stories on paper and on stage. Born in Paris in 1924, the Armenian directed ‘his camera’ at the ‘side effects’ of life and lent his voice to outsiders, unnoticed everyday occurrences and moments made of sand and rust. Rebecca Anouche traces the big feelings behind the small stories in a very personal way. Manu Mazé's sensitive and surprising arrangements for cello and accordion create an atmosphere that gives Aznavour's ‘miniature films’ an astonishing amount of room for discovery. Ear cinema and an extraordinary homage by Rebecca Anouche, also born in Paris, to the great poet among the great chansonniers!
