More information

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Keep going straight here until you get to Neumarkt. Keep right and drive to Mariahof.

Coming from Tamsweg, drive via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur) to Murau. Keep right here and drive via Laßnitz and St. Lambrecht to Mariahof.

At the fortified church in Mariahof you go towards Hoferdorf. At the Gasthof Knappenwirt, keep to the right and after 200 m turn right along a path to an asphalt road. Then you continue to the left towards Diemersdorf. At Villa Barbara, keep left towards the mountain. At the next intersection, turn left again and follow the path through the forest to Steinberg. At the Raschl farm, take the right path and walk along this path until you reach the Steinschloss ruins. You can rest at the hut there. After a breather, continue walking and follow the signs towards Lambach and go back to Adendorf. At a small roundabout, take the 2nd exit and walk along a meadow and forest path back to the Mariahof fortified church.
The Steinschloss castle ruins provide an incredible panoramic view.
