Styrian apple road

The Styrian Apple Road winds through Eastern Styria for 25 km. By car, on foot or on a bicycle – apples in liquid or solid form always take centre stage. Raw or processed into juice, cider, schnapps and delicious apple dishes. You can even enjoy entire apple menus from apple cider soup to apple dumplings at restaurants along the way.

With over half a million fruit trees...

THE MUNICIPALITIES OF APPLE STREET

The Styrian Apple Road was created in 1986 to bring the wonderful area of local fruit growing closer to everyone. Whether during flowering or harvest time, a visit to the apple street communities, Puch bei Weiz, Floing, Anger, St. Ruprecht an der Raab and Albersdorf-Prebuch, will always be an experience.

Round and crisp

Around 40 farmers along the Styrian Apple Road conjure unique delicacies from apples: Juice, cider, schnapps, jams and the ethereal “Abakus” apple brandy. You can taste these products at direct marketing outlets and buy them from farm stores.

A hike through the apple orchards or a bicycle tour along the Apple Road is a real treat, especially in the spring or autumn. Millions of blossoms bedeck the apple trees in spring, while farmers work daily to harvest the crisp apples in autumn.
