Wildbad Einöd circular hike

This 17.7 km long hike leads from Wildbad Einöd via Pöllau near St. Marein back to Wildbad Einöd.
This route offers the perfect opportunity to get to know the landscape around Pöllau and Wilbad Einöd better. There are also fantastic viewing points to linger. There are also some sections of the path away from the busy road, far into the forest areas. In this regard, you can really enjoy the nature of the Murau region here.

By car from GermanyFrom Munich via the A8 towards Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A10 Tauernautobahn to St. Michael im Lungau. On the B 96 to Tamsweg, then on the B 95 to Predlitz. The B 97 leads via Stadl/Mur to Murau. There at the roundabout towards St. Lambrecht to Murauer train station and further towards St. Lambrecht. Via Laßnitz near Murau you reach St. Lambrecht, which is already located in the Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen Nature Park. From there continue towards Mariahof and Neumarkt. In Mariahof turn right towards Neumarkt. Continue towards Carinthia. The strategic point is located in Wildbad Einöd.

Arrival from Eastern Austria/HungaryAt the motorway junction in St. Michael near Leoben, take the S 36 towards Klagenfurt. Past Knittelfeld and Judenburg to Scheifling. In Scheifling continue towards Klagenfurt. The starting point is in Wildbad Einöd.

Arrival from southern Austria/ItalyVia Klagenfurt on the S 37 past St. Veit/Glan, Treibach and Friesach. In Friesach continue towards Vienna, via Dürnstein to Wildbad Einöd.

You start in Wildbad Einöd. After about 500m, turn left and follow the forest path. You come to a crossroads. Now you have two options: you go left to the Pöllauer Quelle and back the same way or you go straight left over the Grundnerhof until you come to an asphalt road. Once there, go straight on to the Haslwirt. Then turn right and follow the forest path to the Hopfgartenteich.
