GOSSENDORF Höchkogelweg: Hiking for young and old in Feldbach (Gossendorf Höchkogelweg)
Under the motto "Active together" there are 8 leisurely hikes in the districts of Feldbach, which are accompanied by local hikers on fixed dates.
Accompanied joint hike
The tour is signposted throughout. The joint hike is accompanied by
Agnes Krenn (Tel.: 0664/2772790).
Dates:
On the 1st Monday at
2 pm in the months of
January, March, May, July, September and November (except on holidays).
What is special about guided hikes? The gentle, steady movement during the hikes focuses our attention on the immediate surroundings and shows us the treasures that are waiting for us right outside our front door. Movement in nature strengthens our immune system, invigorates muscles, organs and circulation, and activates our brain. Each of the 8 hiking trails is accompanied by a person from the project team who knows the trail and knows about the special features along the way and in the surrounding area. The conversations in the hiking group are an additional enrichment for everyone, according to the motto: "LIVING TOGETHER IN DIVERSITY!"

Detailed information on how to get there can be found
here.
The Höchkogelweg is a leisurely sunny hike at the foot of the Gleichenberger Kogel. It is signposted throughout (Vulkanlandweg No. 19). The small loop through Gossendorf is suitable for people who want to admire the gentle hilly landscape between the Gleichenberger Kogeln and the Raab Valley. You hike leisurely along side roads with little traffic and field paths. There are several rest stops along the way. Especially nice is the place in front of the chapel, before the ascent back to the starting point begins.
Character of the path
Beautiful view, possibility to stop for a break, family-friendly, partly asphalt path, partly meadow path
The district of Gossendorf is also a popular destination in winter because of the Gossendorf Nativity Hiking Trail with over 50 nativity scenes in the open air.
