Already about 20 years ago, the Remling family has been engaged in the cultivation of spelt in the Thermen- & Vulkanland. Since the beginning, the Ostro variety has been sown and harvested. Spelt is a primordial grain, which belongs to the oldest cereals of mankind. The spelt plant is long straw and robust. Furthermore, it is not highly cultivated and can be used again and again for sowing.
