"Petanque at Aquilahof"
étanque is a popular French ball game in which two teams try to throw their metal balls (boules) as close as possible to a small target ball (the ‘piggy’ or ‘cochonnet’). The game is usually played on a firm sand or gravel court. The aim is to place more balls closer to the target at the end of a round than the opposing team. Pétanque requires precision, tactics and a good eye - and is also a sociable leisure game for all age groups.
