Vegetable farm
Our family farm is located about 60 km south of Graz, the capital of Styria, in the lowlands of southeastern Styria.
Anna Käfer, the farm manager, started cultivating plants and vegetables at a young age and on a small scale and turned her hobby into a profession in 1987. At the beginning of 2017, the farm was taken over and is managed by daughter Karin Cerncic-Käfer. Our fresh vegetable product range has multiplied over time. Today, depending on the season, we produce tomatoes, peppers (red, green, yellow), apple peppers, cucumbers, hot chilies, mild peppers, zucchini, melanzani-aubergine, lettuce (cabbage chop, butter chop, lollo rosso, endive), radish, cabbage, kohlrabi, fennel, beetle beans, edible pumpkin (Hokaido, Butternut, Long of Naples), beet, mild giant onion, shallots, garlic, water melon and sugar melon.
In addition, we process some of the fresh vegetables into sour preserves. In spring we grow and sell young plants and seedlings of the above mentioned vegetables. We ask for advance orders until February of each year. Since 2003 we are a recognized member of the association "Gutes vom Bauernhof". Delicacies: fresh vegetables in season, pickles, pumpkin seed oil, apple juice, fruit jellies.
Tip: Fresh vegetables can be harvested by tel. agreement.
