Welcome to our site of the FV Angelspass-Oststeiermark , we would be happy to meet you in our leased area. The area in Fürstenfeld includes all flowing waters in the city area. The Feistritz, the Lafnitz and some side channels and oxbow lakes with a total length of about 26km can be fished. the Feistritz with a length of approx. 9 km. The upper limit is located about 500 meters upstream of the open-air swimming pool Fürstenfeld. The lower limit is at the Bagdy mill south of the Fürstenfeld town forest (GPS: 47.01270 North, 16.13119 East). Some short sections may only be fished on the right bank, because the Feistritz forms the town border or state border with Burgenland there, and therefore touches other fishing rights. The width varies from 10 to 20 meters. The river banks in the city area are easily accessible in many places. In some sections parking is possible next to the fishing spot, in other areas bicycle paths lead along the river. Pure nature is offered by the lowest 3 - 4 kilometers of the Feistritz, at the edge of the city forest. The river meanders here completely free and unregulated, but is accessible only by longer footpaths. The water body impresses by the above-average species richness. Not only numerous cyprinid species such as carp (catches 2018 up to 17kg), nase, aitel, roach or barbel are native here. In the fast-flowing areas or mill pools there are good chances of catching capital rainbow or brown trout. The whole range of native predatory fish, especially pike and perch, but also zander and catfish are represented. The varied riparian and water structures ensure a high own occurrence. The fish find innumerable standing and spawning places behind exposed roots or sunken trees in the backwater areas.gravel banks in the faster flowing sections enable natural reproduction of gravel spawners, e.g. the nase. The Feistritz in Fürstenfeld is one of the most varied and species-rich flowing stretches in eastern Styria and at the same time the longest stretch in the district.
