Fischer Weine

St. Anna/Aigen

Three siblings who not only produce wine out of full passion for origin, soil and nature, but live it out of full desire. The cycle of nature serves them as a clock and teacher at the same time.

As is so often the case in southeastern Austria, the Fischers' farm in Plesch near St. Anna am Aigen was run as a mixed farm. A bit of arable farming, animals on the farm and a small, fine vineyard. Soon it was clear that animal husbandry had no future and in 2007 the first quality wine - a Morillon - was bottled. Thus the young story took its course and meanwhile Bernhard, Claudia and Klaus are fully committed to wine.

The basis of the winery is the organic cultivation of the vineyards and the quite labor-intensive care of the vines exclusively with their hands. Beginning with the gentle pruning in winter, through the green work in spring, the foliage work in summer and the final harvest of the grapes in autumn, each vine is individually cared for by hand. The result is authentic wines that reflect the origin, soil and vintage.

Tastings and tours of the winery are available at any time by appointment. Event tip: Vintage presentation of Fischer wines annually in May at Weinhof Fischer.
