In the heart of Fürstenfeld stands a special building that captivates visitors with its history and loving details: the Zügnerhaus.
The ownership history of the house can be traced back to 1713 – the origin, however, is likely even further back. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the house served as a residence and workplace for shoemakers and bakers.
Historical milestones: 1874: Acquisition by shoemaker Franz Zügner and his wife Josepha Still commonly known today as: “Zügnerhaus” Characteristic: exposed wooden beam ceiling inside Restored entrance door from the 18th century.
Today, the Zügnerhaus houses the municipal library and together with the town hall forms a striking ensemble in Augustinerplatz.
