Farm to Table - Margrit de Colle cultivates organic cut flowers, branches, herbs and edible flowers in her fields in southeastern Styria. Fresh from the field in bunches or as a workpiece, there are the bouquets, wreaths and more.
The flower farmer
Flower farmer - even if we have not heard of this profession: Margrit de Colle practices it. Since she came here from Graz more than ten years ago with her husband, who bought an old farm in Erbersdorf near Eichkögl, and their two children, her eye for the colors, structures and materials of nature has been trained.
In workshops, wreaths and bouquets are tied and decorations made of flowers, twigs, leaves and grasses are conjured up for home or festivities. Culinary care is provided in between in the 2017 matured vegetarian garden café, where in every garden visitor, whether human or animal, hearty peace comes.
Self-sown, planted, nurtured, harvested with care and designed with love, the 6.5 hectare garden "Vom Hügel" combines responsible production with real handwork. "You have to feel, taste, walk and give a hand!".
