Sport trail V Joglland trail, St. Jakob im Walde
The sport trail V is a somewhat more challenging cross-country ski trail on the Joglland trail in St. Jakob im Walde, which has been awarded the Styrian cross-country ski trail seal of approval.
After a round on the sports trail on the Jogllandloipe in St. Jakob im Walde, you really deserve a refreshment - the Kaiserschmarrn at the Gasthof Orthofer is particularly popular. This dish actually has a special meaning at the Gasthof Orthofer, because this is the former hunting lodge of Emperor Charles I. He also got engaged to his wife Zita here. - We start our cross-country skiing tour on the five-kilometre-long sport trail in the start/finish arena of the Jogllandloipe in St. Jakob im Walde
- After this start/finish area, we follow the orange-marked trail past the snowmaking pond to a first short steep section
- This is immediately followed by the opportunity for a short rest
- We try to keep up the momentum on this downhill section, follow the groomed trail straight ahead and enter a wooded area
- At the Riegler Kohlstatt crossroads, we keep left and follow the trail for around 1.3 kilometers until we reach the so-called Blockplatz again
- Here we turn right into the next descent
- On the following ascent, we have the opportunity to visit the place where the snow depot is located again in summer
- Then we ride briefly downhill before we come to the turnaround
- Caution - slow down a little here, as this is a tight bend
- Then we walk back on the other side of the trail. Here, too, we have to master a tight bend after a total of around 4 kilometers
- We then turn right before the snowmaking pond and follow the trail until we reach the start/finish arena again
