The biodiversity wall at the headquarters of the association “NEDI – Art and Culture in Nature” is an invitation to engage with art in public spaces.
This is where “remains of nature”, people’s living space, industrial agriculture and economic and industrial areas come together. The wall artistically addresses biodiversity and the threat posed by the human factor. The abstract meadow flowering area meets illustrated regional birds, which, like us, depend on the preservation of semi-natural and natural areas. The wall was designed by the internationally recognized street art and graffiti artist Gernot Passath, who grew up in Eastern Styria. Since 2017 he has been running his studio in Albersdorf with a stronger focus on wall designs.
