Local collection in Kaibing
A wonderfully preserved log cabin near the B54 in Kaibing. Nobody who drives past it suspects what kind of treasures are hidden in it.
For years, the Schwarz family has collected beautiful items from everyday life in the area and is now presenting them in their 200-year-old, restored log house. The focus of the collection is on the motif postcards.
Over 20,000 cards are neatly stored in folders and can be viewed comfortably in the farmhouse parlor. As the well-known pilgrimage site of Maria Fieberbründl is right behind the forest, you will find many, ma
ny little pictures of saints in this “walk-in picture book”, which together with the postcards and pilgrimage souvenirs depict the rich history of this sanctuary. If you register in advance and make a voluntary donation, Berta and Bernhard Schwarz are happy to show you their treasures. Opening times: by appointment by telephone!
