Ringwarte Hartberg

Hartberg

The view from the ring control room provides the most beautiful view of the Eastern Styrian hill country

The Ringwarte is an observation tower 30 meters high. 99 steps lead to the top of the tower, from which one has a fantastic panoramic view of the Eastern Styrian hill country.

The ring control room was built in 1906 by the then mayor Raimund Obendrauf, and in 2006, as part of the 100th anniversary celebration, the entire facility around the observation tower was renewed and a new refuge was added.

The archaeological circular route on the Ringkogel takes visitors along the former ring wall to six stations that provide information and images on the history of settlement and the construction of this important Celtic settlement.

The season starts in April. Food and drink will be provided at the rest area to the ring station.

New attractions await children and families: a play tower combination with a suspension rope bridge and an 11 meter long landslide.

Tip: Peter Rosegger circular route, which was reopened in 2021 and leads over the Brühl up to the control room.
