Spiritual center of the town center
The chapel, built in 2000, is dedicated to the Holy Family, also as a sign to strengthen the family today.
The artist Alois Moosbacher, who comes from Strallegg, takes up the theme with two graphically depicted murals.
One picture also refers to being on the road as Christians who are guests here on earth. The altar, ambo, candlesticks and holy water fountain were created by artist Fred Höfler.
The nearby R8 cycle path (Feistritztal) invites you to experience nature intensively.
Invitation to inner contemplation The Weiz pastoral area is home to a multitude of spiritual treasures and places of power that invite you to find inner peace and contemplation. These places of power are not only scenically attractive, but also have a deeper spiritual meaning. People in search of inner peace and balance can find inspiration and relaxation in these places. We have selected one place of power from each of the nine parishes in the Weiz pastoral area: idyllic chapels, scenic places, historic churches. Visiting these 9 places of power can also be combined with an activity (hike, sightseeing, bike tour ...) for young and old. Collective passports are available at all nine places of power, in the parish churches and in the parish offices of the pastoral area, which can be stamped from June to Advent (15.12.) at each of the nine places with a stamp located there. The collection passports can be handed in at any parish office in the 9 parishes until December 15, 2024 (homepage - opening hours/ pastoral area Weiz) or sent by post to the parish office Weizberg 13, 8160 Weiz. In addition, boxes are available in the parish churches for the collection passports. All completed collection passports will be rewarded with a certificate and a pin. Nine attractive prizes will also be raffled off.
