Educational Trail: Climate Future Trail

Pöllau

A circular route with a length of 9.5 kilometres, a hiking time of about two and a half to three hours and 180 metres in altitude.

Wilderness, Woods and Water
Starting in the castle park Pöllau, six information boards with surprising facts about wilderness, woods and water will make you think. Furthermore, you will find out about the challenges and opportunities of climate change.

"KLAR" Klimawandel-Anpassungsmodellregion (Climate Change Adjustment Model Region)
The municipalities of the Pöllau Valley, Pöllau and Pöllauberg, are among the first 20 regions in Austria, which are involved in the adjustment to the already existing climate change. This project is financed by the Climat and Energy Fund and with the help of the Climate Change Adjustment Model Region project.
The Climate Future Trail shows measures for this adjustment and for a future worth living. At multiple stations you are provided with tips and information for a positive trend despite the continuing change of our climate. Enjoy the beauty of the Nature Park Pöllau Valley while learning more about climate change and its possibilities.
