The traditional Krampus run at the Weiz Christkindlmarkt with over 200 Krampuses! During the Krampus run on December 13, numerous scary figures with hand-carved masks will make their way through the center of Weiz. Designated "family areas" will be provided along the route, where parents can retreat with their littlest guests. The start is at 4 PM in Elingasse.
On every Advent Saturday, the Christmas market takes place in the Kunsthaus-Passage, Rathausgasse, Bismarckgasse, K&K-Passage, and at the Südtiroler Platz, all beautifully illuminated with Christmas lights. In a festive atmosphere, a diverse range of handicrafts, high-quality goods, and delicious treats are offered. Local clubs and charitable organizations from Weiz also cater to their members, friends, and visitors in the club hut village and throughout the entire market area. The Volksschule Weizberg and the Oststeirer Viergsang provide atmospheric music at the market.
Additionally, throughout Advent, there is a special children's fairy tale forest with the story tree to explore in the Kunsthaus-Passage. Visitors can stroll through the city in the glow of the Christmas lights, admire life-sized wooden snowmen lining the streets, and enjoy the enchanting nativity scene in the main square. There is also a lovely wooden nativity scene in the Garden of Generations. At the photo point in the K&K-Passage, visitors can capture their time at the Weiz Christmas market with photos every Saturday between 10 AM and 4 PM. A horse-drawn carriage ride through the festively decorated city center is also one of the absolute highlights of a visit to the Weiz Christmas market.
