The cozy Steinplan hut, located close to the summit, invites guests to linger. Both hikers and mountain bikers can enjoy a wonderful panorama on the sun terrace.
At 1,670 meters, Steinplan is the local mountain for the inhabitants of Knittelfeld, Lobming and Rachau. Marked hiking trails lead from all sides through the extensive forest and alpine areas of the Glein and Stubalpe to the summit of Steinplan, which offers a unique view. Traditional home-cooked meals made with regional products are served in the shelter and on the spacious sun terrace.

To the south, one can see the Stubalpe, Grössing, Koralpe, and the Karawanken. The Seetaler Alps with Zirbitzkogel and the first glacier peaks of the Hohe Tauern, including Hochalmspitze, define the view to the west. To the north, the Aichfeld valley unfolds, with the peaks of the Seckauer Alps and Lower Tauern, as well as the Eisenerzer Alps visible in the background. To the east, the view stretches from Voitsberg to Schöckl and Wildoner Berg.
In winter, the mountain is popular among ski tourers and snowshoe hikers. Guests have the opportunity to warm up in the beautiful winter room.
