Welcome to the Reiterbauer Chalet!

A gravel road brings you to the wonderful and comfortable chalet at 1.400m above sea level. The completely newly built chalet offers 70 m² of living space, has a spacious living room and is equipped with everything your heart desires. The wood-burning cooker placed in the middle of the room invites you to linger in comfort. An additional electric fireplace creates a romantic atmosphere.

The chalet is ideal for nature-loving people who want to enjoy peace and quiet. Far away from everyday life and surrounded by wonderful alpine pastures and mountains you can relax and let your soul dangle. When you get hungry, you can simply stop for a snack in one of the mountain huts in the village.

In winter, you can go on a wind hike, snowshoe hiking, ski touring or sledding. And then get into the cosy warm chalet with underfloor heating, as well as wood cooker and enjoy the view and browse in the book box. Within a radius of about 30 km you also have opportunities for cross-country skiing, skiing, ice skating and curling. As well as a visit to the Aqualux thermal spa in Fohnsdorf.

The topic of sustainability is very important here. You are welcome to visit the organic farm of the Gallowitsch family by arrangement, it is located about 800m downhill from the Reiterbauer Chalet as the crow flies. At the organic farm you can get young beef and mutton on request. There is also a small garden with a variety of berries for guests to enjoy - just help yourself and enjoy. You are supplied with your own spring water, which is heated by a heat pump, as is the house. The electricity comes from the photovoltaic system mounted on the farm.

Arrival and departure information

In Bretstein, in the district "Bretsteingasse", turn right in the direction of Authal. After about 700 m you will see a bridge with a farm sign. Turn right there and drive 3 km along a gravel road to the Reiterbauer farm. The landlords will show you the way personally.
