This is an easy Nordic walking hike that can be enjoyed by young and old.
Get to know the community of Krakaudorf, its surroundings and the swimming lake. This invites you to cool off in summer. There are always one or two “bankers” along the way that invite you to linger and enjoy.

More information
East: From Vienna on the A 2 and S 6 to Leoben and St. Michael i. d. E., continue on the S 36 to Judenburg and on the B 96 to Murau. From Murau via Ranten to Krakau.
West, North: From Bregenz/Innsbruck via the A 12, A 93 and A 8 to Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A 10 to St. Michael im Lungau. From here on the B 96 to Tamsweg and further towards Murau via Sauerfeld to Krakau.
South: From Klagenfurt on the B 83 to Scheifling. Then take the B 96 to Murau and on to Krakau.
You start at the municipal office in Krakaudorf. On the municipal road towards the bathing lake (R4), turn right to the bathing lake and then left onto a gently descending forest road to the bathing lake. You go left along the lake circular path past the weir, a little bit on the forest road and then right again at a passage right along the lake. From the Seestube take the same route back to the municipal office.
You can also walk through the larch forest back to the municipal office.
If you want to extend the route, you can continue to Calvary
