

Tour H3 - MTB - Wichtelhütte

On forest roads (ski trails in winter) you always cross the ski slopes and after a continuous ascent of 3.7 km you reach the Wichtelhütte in the Murtal region, which is not open in summer.
The starting point of this tour is the parking lot at the war memorial at the top of the pass in Hohentauern in the Murtal region. From here, continue along the main road towards Sankt Johann for approx. 150m, then turn left onto a gravel path. Now cycle 3.7 km along the forest road to the Wichtelhütte, which is not open in summer. Return along the same route. Please note the opening times of the tours!

Coming via the B114, drive to the Hoehntauern pass / war memorial where there is a large parking lot

On the way to the Wichtelhütte there is a cloud bench of the 7 heavenly places. If you take three Wolkenbankerl selfies, the Murtal tourist office will give you a surprise.
