Hoftaltrail - barrierefreier Trail
Austria's first adaptive MTB trail was opened in Kobenz on October 30, 2024. This is a mountain bike trail that can be tackled with bikes for wheelchair users as well as mountain bikes. Fun and action await here!
The barrier-free MTB Flow Trail in Kobenz enables people with different mobility requirements to enjoy the fascination and challenge of mountain biking. Thanks to its specially adapted design, this trail is unique in Europe and is aimed at adaptive mountain bikers as well as sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.

Arrival by car is easy via the well-developed roads and highways.
From the direction of Vienna
Take the A2 Südautobahn in the direction of Graz.
At the Seebenstein junction, change to the S6 Semmering expressway in the direction of Bruck an der Mur.
At St. Michael in der Obersteiermark, take the slip road onto the S36 Murtal expressway towards Judenburg.
Take the Knittelfeld-West exit and follow the signs to Kobenz.
From the direction of Graz
Take the A9 Pyhrnautobahn to the St. Michael junction.
Change there to the S36 Murtal expressway in the direction of Judenburg.
Exit at Knittelfeld-West and follow the signs to Kobenz.
From the direction of Salzburg
Take the A10 Tauern Autobahn to Altenmarkt im Pongau.
Change there to the B320 Ennstalstraße in the direction of Schladming.
At St. Lorenzen, take the slip road onto the S36 Murtal expressway.
Take the Knittelfeld-West exit and follow the signs to Kobenz.
From the direction of Klagenfurt
Take the S37 Klagenfurter Schnellstraße in the direction of St. Veit an der Glan.
Change to the B317 Friesacher Straße in the direction of Judenburg.
At Zeltweg, take the S36 Murtal expressway.
Take the Knittelfeld-West exit and follow the signs to Kobenz.
To get to the Hoftaltrail, drive over the Kobenzbach, along the Sportgasse to the main road. Turn right here and take the next lane on the right. Ride along the forest road until you reach the start of the Hoftaltrail. Here a challenging, fun-filled trail leads you back to the starting point.
Public transportation is possible with the regional bus 841, 842 and 843.
Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the trail.
