For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, cross-country skiing is a great option. The Murtal region has a well-developed network of cross-country trails where you can enjoy the snow-covered landscape in peace. One particularly beautiful trail is the Murtalloipe, which runs along the River Murr.
Another highlight in the Mur Valley is winter hiking. There are numerous hiking trails that are also accessible in winter. We particularly recommend the 8-kilometre tour to the Frauenalpe, where you have a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains.
