The sports center, opened in 1977, along with the swimming pool, is part of the Knittelfeld recreational facility. The sports center primarily serves local clubs, schools, and institutions as a sports venue. In addition to a main grass pitch with a complete grandstand and spectator area accommodating around 3,000 spectators, there is a track with athletic facilities and an athletics field as well as another grass pitch available. A skate park has been installed for children and teenagers, which can be used free of charge. Additionally, there is the opportunity to engage in sports on an all-weather synthetic pitch (44 x 70 m). This includes facilities for basketball, soccer goals, and small field goals.
Furthermore, there is a spacious tennis facility on the grounds of the sports center run by ATUS Knittelfeld, while Padel, a racket sport played as doubles, takes place on a court surrounded by glass walls and wire fences, where the walls can be incorporated into the game, giving the ball a new direction and a certain flavor.
