Beautiful late Gothic church in the middle of Bretstein.
The Bretstein parish church was designated a church in 1373 and originally dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria. After the interior restoration in 2003, the former branch church of St. Oswald bei Zeiring shines in new splendour. The high altar was built at the beginning of the 18th century and bears the late Gothic statues of Catherine, Ulrich and Wolfgang, probably created in 1506 by a Rottenmann master. The other statues were created by Balthasar Prandtstätter around 1740/1750. The church is definitely worth seeing and a visit. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
