Klementi Kapelle

Gaal

Located away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the small but very lovingly designed chapel with Swiss stone pine wood at Ingeringsee is probably one of the most beautifully situated in Styria.

When you reach the Ingeringsee on your hike or walk, you may have the feeling that the chapel is upside down. The entrance to the chapel is behind it. But when you enter the chapel, you will know why. Directly behind an unusual altar, which consists of a large tree trunk, you have a view of Lake Ingering through a window. This combination of altar and lake certainly makes this chapel something very special.

The chapel is furnished with Swiss stone pine, which is particularly anchored in this region. A few seats invite visitors to linger and pause. The chapel was built by the Wasserberg forestry administration in 2015 and dedicated to Saint "Clement", who is venerated as the patron saint of forestry workers.

In summer, a visit is also possible for people with limited mobility. There is a parking area just before the lake. The chapel is accessible via a gravel path.
