The Hahnsee lies at 1800m in the Seckau Alps and is probably one of the most hidden mountain lakes in the Alpine region. Away from signposted paths is the small hidden lake with a direct view of the peaks of the Hahnenkamm. There is often snow here until early summer. Since the path is not signposted, you should join guided tours or locals who know the path, otherwise it can easily happen that you just wander past a bit off the beaten path. A truly untouched natural treasure that needs to be preserved.
Opening hours:
The Hahnsee is accessible all year round - please note: depending on the weather conditions, the municipality will set up a general access barrier in the Ingeringgraben. Information on the homepage of the municipality of Gaal.
