Many museums and visitor mines throughout the region will whisk you away into long-forgotten times, offering a few entertaining and interesting hours for the whole family.

In the family-friendly holiday region of the Murtal, there are all kinds of great things to experience. Float away on a boat trip to discover Styria's answer to the Amazon – the lifeblood of our region, the Mur. Spot rare species of waterfowl in the Mur river wetlands and instil in your children a sense of consideration and respect for the environment in fascinating ways.

Have you ever gone on an alpaca walk through the woods? Don't pass up the chance. A meditative peace descends over both parents and children in this magical activity. Leading a sweet alpaca along, you'll forget all about everyday life. Simply enjoy the walk, caring for the animals, and the contentment that it brings you.

You can also enjoy being close to animals on a fun carriage ride through the undulating green landscape. The driver will harness up and drive you for a picnic, so that you can let go of the reins for once.
